Happy Birthday Rob!

Yesterday was Rob's birthday!  Last year on his birthday I was WAY sick with morning sickness (although it lasted all day!).  So we didn't do anything.  He did get a cake, but that was about it, so I wanted to make up for it this year.  I'm not sure if I did, but it was better!

I'm not the best cake decorator in the world,
but I think it looked alright.
It was a white chocolate cake I made from scratch.
Rob found the recipe online and it's awesome!
I also made Rob's favorite for dinner-ribs and "wingers" chicken.
We had some friends over for dinner and rook afterwards too.

Rob is so amazing.
He works hard everyday so I can stay at home.
Then comes home and still helps out with the house and Nick!
He loves to play with Nick and puts him to sleep almost every night-
I'm told it's their guy time (that and during church).
He always knows how to make me smile
and makes me happy every day!
Happy Birthday Rob!  I love you.

Story Time

Nick loves to read stories, at least part of them depending on his attention span at the moment.  The other day I left Nick on the floor in the living room while I put some stuff away.  When I came back he was holding his book up all by himself!  It was so cute I just had to take pictures!

Happy Halloween

So I know, it's been almost a week but hey better late than never!  Nick had a great first halloween, although he got tired and went to bed about 7, but it was fun to have him dressed up and show him off.

Here's us carving pumpkins. Nick didn't see the finished products until the next day because we started too late and he got tired.  So, here he is with them right before he went to bed.

Rob and I with our pumpkins.
Mine on the left, Nick's on the right,
and Rob's in the back.

For Halloween Nick was a devil.
Surprisingly he kept the hat on most of the time too!

I think this is a definitely a little devil face!

Nick got another pumpkin from my visiting teachers
and he loved it!

I love this picture!  He has such an innocent look on his face!
